Environmental Law mainly derives from federal and state statutes and regulations, however common law doctrines such as nuisance and trespass play a role. Administrative decisions and agency guidance documents, eg. EPA guidance documents should not be overlooked. The Environmental Protection Agency is not the only federal agency in charge of administering environmental law programs. For example, the Fish and Wildlife Service and National Marine Fisheries Service carry out the Endangered Species Act.
Another LibGuide related to the topic of Environmental Law you can consider consulting is the Land Use, Planning, and Zoning LibGuide, especially for floodplains and wetlands issues.
